The price of payment method on customer change

I"am facing the problem with the price of the payment method when changed by customer. When the customer has unpaid order and want to change the payment method, Hika calculates the price difference - types\plugins.php - method preload(). We are facing the problem that the difference is calculated without VAT and also after saving the new method it saves the new price without VAT. The payment method is correctly set with the price without VAT and our basic tax category. The billing address of the customer is correctly set the country where we have set the VAT tax rate (CZ - 21%).

I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or it is some bug.

Hi,

You're correct, taxes are not taken into account on the payment fees when the customer is changing the payment method on the frontend.
Supporting this adds quite a lot of complexity as the system is designed to calculate the taxes based on the zone of the address in the cart, not from an existing order's address.
We'll work on adding that capability for the next version of HikaShop, which is to be released soon.
