Error on checkout on every order attempted

URGENT - NO ONE CAN PLACE AN ORDER

This error message is coming up on every customer order now, so all items. No changes have been made for a while now so not sure why this is happening all of a sudden. Followed suggestions on forum of others and nothing is working.

I think I fixed by clicking on check database. But not closing this until we do some further checking.

The column name "order_dimension_unit" was added in HikaShop 4.4.1
So you must have updated HikaShop to the 4.5.0 recently and when you did, the installer was not able to add the extra column in the hikashop_order table in the database for some reason.
The check database was the right call as it automatically adds the missing columns in the database.
