I use other ecommerce component as well from joobi and they provide me the compatibility 2 weeks ago before 2.5 was officially released.

I installed a clean version of Joomla 2.5 and then I installed "com_hikashop_starter_1.5.6_2012-01-25.zip" locally.
I have a long list of errors
with the instalation and then on the site.
