Low stock notification

Is there a way to add a product low stock number so instead of the cron report only showing what had reached a qty of 0, it would send a notification when the stock level reaches i.e. 5

Yes. In the options of the HikaShop out of stock notification plugin, that you can find via the Joomla plugins manager when you edit the plugin, you'll find an option "Stock limit" where you can enter 5 in order to do just that.

Thank you. Another question, Is there a way to create a different low stock level per products. I.e. low stock is 8 for pants and 4 for shirts

The HikaShop out of stock notification plugin doesn't handle multiple "stock limit" per product, so the solution will be to directly edit the code of the HikaShop out of stock notification plugin to handle edit, but development skills will be required.

Thanks for the information on the Out of Stock Notification Plugin. Where would I access the email text that is sent to the client when stock is low?

Also, the Last Update is set to 1274903175 by default. What does this mean and should I change it?

Hi,

Like all the emails, you can edit them via the menu System>Emails. And if you want to change the text, you can also use translation overrides:

The last update option contains the number of seconds from the first january of 1970 to the last time the plugin process was run. That is updated automatically by the plugin to know when to run each time the cron system calls it.
