Report that filters by country and VAT

Hi,

Is there a way to produce a report on sales by country? Also a report that shows the orders placed in a month and if they were charged VAT or no?

You can create a report like this in order to display a map of all the countries with the sales for each country:
take.ms/vKVu4

You can also create a report to get all the orders placed in a month by simply using the start and end dates on the orders listing page of the backend.
There is no option to know if the orders on that listing were charged VAT or not though.

ok thanks - I think a VAT report would be very useful for people that need to fill out VAT returns... ?

Also the sales per country as you have shown me, are the figures shown with or without VAT?

For VAT reports, you can just go in the System>Taxes menu and click on the "manage tax rates" button.
That will give you a listing of all your tax rates with the total of sales for each one. And you can change the period for the calculations with the corresponding date fields at the top. So you should have all the necessary information to fill the VAT returns.

The figures are with VAT on the map report.

Unfortunately this doesn't give the figures needed.

We need to see the individual orders

Over Value inc and exc TAX
TAX Code used
Country TAX Region

Without this info it's not going to be possible to file a VAT report in the UK.

In that case, you want to export your orders as a CSV either on the orders listing or via the mass action system
