'Import from HikaShop' what exactly it imports? was created by janos
-- url of the page with the problem -- :
j6.studio-general.eu
-- HikaShop version -- : 6.6.0 business
-- Joomla version -- : 6.1.4
-- PHP version -- : 8.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 115.0
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : no
What EXACTLY does it import 'Import from HikaShop' ?
Images, that's great, but what else?
Also some shop-setup?
I don't want to destroy and start again the setup /views, taxes, etc./.
Test-site, though.

Alright, I found in the present doc, that;
Configuration settings
Tax rates and zones
Categories (with hierarchy)
Products, variants, prices, and images
Custom fields
Users and addresses
Coupons
Orders, order addresses, and order products
Order statuses
Warehouses
Shipping methods and payment methods (configurations included)
That's a great tool for migrating an entire Shop, but I would need only for:

Hi,
In HikaShop 6.6.0 the import from another HikaShop always brings everything, there is no way to pick parts yet. Here is what each part does to the shop you import into:
Configuration: every setting of the source shop replaces the one of your shop (display options, checkout, emails, etc.). Only the upload folders, SEF, version and update settings are left as they are.
Zones, taxes, order statuses and custom fields: added only when your shop has none with the same name key; the ones you already have are not modified.
Shipping methods, payment methods and warehouses: added again, even when your shop already has the same ones, so you get duplicates.
Users and addresses, coupons, limits and orders: added.
Categories, products, variants, prices, images and files: added. If a product of the source has the same product code as one already in your shop, the import stops on a "Duplicate entry ... for key 'product_code'" error.
Your template overrides (the views) are files, not database data: the import does not touch them. It only copies the product and category images and files from the source site path you give.
So to bring only categories, products and custom fields, you can do this today: first make a backup of the database of the shop you import into. Then make a copy of the source database on the same MySQL server and, in that copy only, empty these tables (with your prefix in front): hikashop_config, hikashop_shipping, hikashop_payment, hikashop_warehouse, hikashop_user, hikashop_address, hikashop_order, hikashop_order_product, hikashop_discount, hikashop_limit. Then run "Import from HikaShop" with the name of that copy as database name. Its steps will find nothing to bring for those parts, and the configuration, shipping and payment methods of your shop stay as they are.
After the import, open your existing custom fields that are limited to some categories or products and check that their selection is still the right one: in 6.6.0 the end of the import can change it on fields that were already there.
Following your feedback, we have added a "What to import" list of checkboxes to the Import from HikaShop screen (configuration, custom fields, zones and taxes, shipping and payment methods, catalog, users and addresses, coupons, orders), so that only the parts you tick are imported, and fixed the custom fields issue above. They will come with the next update of HikaShop, the 6.7.0.
