characteristics exists in database type variant!

When trying to import .csv with characteristics it does NOT recognized
the products id with the characteristics I get an error:

Even after I reimport it via the mass action or the import product I still get the same error please help!

Hi,

The message is saying that the product with the product code "PROWAVE_142" is already existing in your database as a product code of a variant.
Because you're trying to import such product as a main product, you want to change the type of the product so the import refuse that.

So please
- correct your database by changing the product type.
OR
- correct your database by changing the product code.
OR
- correct your CSV by using another product code.

I try to change a price of a product with Characteristics via .csv or mass action (see attached csv file)

I have change:
1. the product type - I have change to main but is not what I need. I need it to be a variant (or what other type a product with Characteristics can be?)

2. Changing the product code. (did not work)
3. Correct your CSV by using another product code. (did not work)

Please assist on how can I change a price value of a product with Characteristics via .csv or mass action

I have export a product with Characteristics via cvs with product code. (Attached is an screen shoot image with the way i am exporting the product via mass action.)

Here is the text result (attached a csv too)

I still can not change the price within a product with Characteristics

Hi,

Please do not create a new thread for the exact same problem.
I already gave you an explanations for the error message ; if you do not understand it you can just say and we will reformulate it.

1. If you need the product to be a variant so ; don't try to replace an existing product which is a "main" one.

3. There is no product code in your CSV ; how did you changed it ?

I can only recommend you to use a mass action and not use the import system.
The import system has been made to import ALL information of a product ; it means that you need to import a complete and full CSV containing ALL columns of a product ; the kind of CSV you can retrieve by performing an export.
The CSV you're trying to import is highly uncompleted ; it can't be imported due to the too many missing data.

Please use a CSV in a correct formating, using coma or semi colon as separator and using double quotes for string encapsulation.

So, you need to use a mass action.
