Piping symbol in import file is not possible ...

The plugin is made to accept a relative path for the CSV file.
So the file should be in your Joomla folder.

Now I created a ticket in order to let the rest of the HikaShop team take a look more deeply in that plugin code.
I am personally not found to always convert the file path into an URL.
If you still have some issues with the plugin, please try to put a full URL like

I tried that (and again today) with the original datafeed.php ... doesn't work ..
this is probably something stupid (and small) that I forgot to set ...

We are not able to reproduce that issue on our end, even after many different tries.

You said that you entered the path "db/thefile.csv" but is the folder "db" in your Joomla files ? Not in the parent folder ?
Have you tried with "/db/thefile.csv" ?

This feature of updating products from a csv file can be done via the mass actions too, so you can give it a try and see if the path is correctly handled in that way.

Else to debug definitely this issue, we will need a backend and FTP access in order to test it directly on your end.

The db-folder is in the site root (just as Joomla is)
so the db-folder is at the same level as index.php, administrator (folder), components, images, ...
I tried /db/... but this is the response: Could not retrieve the CSV file /db/cataloog_import_ok.csv

Then enter db/cataloog_import_ok.csv as the CSV file path and not /db/cataloog_import_ok.csv
Or try with the absolute path of the CSV file on the server.
Both should work.

If you prepend the relative path with a /, it thinks that you're trying to access a file in /db/cataloog_import_ok.csv and not in /home/myuser/www/db/cataloog_import_ok.csv
