Import CSV all in a specific category

How can I import a CSV in order to have all items added in a specific category?

Hi,

In your CSV, you can add a "categories" column and enter either the name or the id of the category in that column for all the rows (it's really easy to do in Excel). Then, import that modified CSV and you'll have what you want.

Where can I find the name or the id of category in hikashop that it must matches the name or the category added in CSV?

You can use name or ID but I would prefer ID. To find it go to hikashop->categories. Please check my screenshot.

But before I need to create a "category" in Hikashop or after the CSV import Hikashop, automatically create the category?
For example:
category BRAND (brand1, brand2 brand3, etc...)

You can import a tree of categories which will be created if they don't exist already in HikaShop with the option "Create automatically missing categories" set to "yes".

Sorry, but did you actually look at the documentation page I already linked to (and here again)? If you do, you can't miss the paragraph titled "Importing products with variants".

Characteristics and values of characteristics won't be generated for you. You need to pre create them.
