Both registration and checkout as guest options

It it possible to use both registration, and checkout as guest, as options for customers or are these exclusive settings?

There is no possibility for now to use both options at the same time.

thanks for the reply, can you point me to somewhere I can test drive the checkout options? Changing the settings on the demo doesn't affect the checkout,

Changing the setting in the demo website will change the registration form.
By default, the registration is already deactivated on the demo website (which is why you don't have the username, name and password fields). Only the email field is asked (so that hikashop can still send the emails to the user). If you change that option to "registration" you will get these fields so that an account is created for the user on the website.
Note that the demo website is reseted every hour though.
