Digital download scenario

Hello HikaShop,

I have only digital downloads on my website, if a customer downloads an item they can get it through their "orders" page, however if they search for that item again it will be available for purchase with nothing telling them that they have purchased it already (they could come back a long time down the track)

1) can it be made available for them to download the item from the product screen?

or 2) At least be able to notify them they have purchased it already?

Thanks again for your excellent support!

Wayne

Hi,

There is no option for that and for some downloadable items it makes sense that they can purchase it several times (like on our website).
If you want to do that, you will have to customize the file show of the view product via the menu Display->Views and add a bunch of code to check if the current user already bought that product or not via a MySQL query.

Thanks again for your help!

I'll have to look into it.

Cheers

Wayne
