How to Move a product from one category to another

I'm having trouble moving a product from one category to another... Is this possible? I tried adjusting the category from the backend along the right margin of the page where it has a section for "category" but it doesn't seem to let me change it.

You need to click on the add button in that part, then, check the checkbox for your category in the selection popup and click on ok. That will add that new category in the list of categories of your product. Then you can just delete the old category and save your product.
