Re: admin>product sort ordering doesnt affect the site

I'm in admin>products and i'm changing the sort order and saving. It's updating in my admin area but it's having no affect on the site... any ideas?

When you create/edit a menu or a module for hikashop, in the hikashop options, you can select the way the ordering is done. By default, it should order the products using the ordering in the backend. Could you check your menus and modules settings ?

the site is: ecoyachtproducts.com go to 'shopping' menu.

In the 'shopping' menu module i have already set the 'ordering field' to 'category ordering', is this correct?.. does this follow the sort order i have edited in the admin products area?

In your shopping menu, I don't see any products. Did you change something in the mean time ?
Also, if you could provide a back end access to your website, we would be able to directly see what's the problem.

Hi, just click on 'Laundry' to see the first set of products. These are the one's i'm trying to arrange.

The problem was that the random option was activated in your modules. So the products were randomly ordered. But since you had less products that the "number of items" option, there was no need for the system to pick the products so they were ordered by id.

Can you provide your complete page screenshot ? I insist on the "complete" because we need to see everything, and even what is around your product listing.
And add, these datas too, Jooma & HikaShop version and php too.
