cart redirect to paypal was created by SLLLC

I have just updated to version 1.4.9 and when clicking on the "next" button during checkout the redirect to paypal is not working.Can not get past the final step.
the message "Please create or select an address" appears at the top

I am using joomla 1.5
the cart workflow is: coupon_cart_login_address_payment_shipping_confirm,end

the user is created in my customer listing and joomla

We don't have such problem on our end. From which version did you update ?
Could you give us an FTP access + back end access to your website so that we can check out the problem ?

We got your website access and we just tried to place an order on your website and it worked. We were redirected to paypal without any issue.

I still am unable to get past the last step to get redirected to paypal (front end)
see attached screen shot. using IE8
p.s. I have purged both IE and the site backend.

I have tried at a different location/computer, same result

Also, on the order notification email it does not contain the full order summary, as indicated is a new feature in release 1.4.9 maybe it is related.

Well, the error message tells you to create or select an address. And I can see that you don't have any address on your screenshot. You need to click on the new button to create an address and it will let you finish the order.

while I was waiting for your reply and testing I noticed when viewing the new user info after I had entered all the address-etc info(front end) that in the backend the address info was missing. I then added address info through backend and retested, it then redireted to paypal.
Seems the info entered on the front end address form is not being recorded in the backend.......help

Please edit the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/user.php and change the line:
if(empty($addressData)){

to:
if(!empty($addressData)){

That will save the user address when the user register and solve the problem.

ok, made change and it is now working

p.s. in this release 1.4.9 it is stated that the order admin notification email and the order status update email now contain the full order summary.

attached is the order notification email received after I made changes and I do not see the full order summary.

If you updated from a previous version, the email HTML option is set to "no" in the database so even after the update, it keeps sending the text version. You will have to go in the database in the table hikashop_config and change the value of the entry "order_status_notification.html" to 1 instead of 0 so that the HTML version is used over the text version.

After a closer look, I see that you're talking about the administrator notification email and not the order status modification notification. For that email you should check the entry called "order_admin_notification.html" and set it to 1.
