Missing cart/currency switcher module

Missing cart/currency switcher module was created by zacker

Hi, when i test out hikashop on localhost the shopping cart and currency switch module is auto generated on the left column like this.

But when i try it on a server the two module didn't appear on the web.

Neither can i find it inside hikashop/display/content modules

You should search for those modules in Extensions->Module manager.

You can always try to install again HikaShop on top of the version you have. You won't loose any data and it might add any missing files or module entry that weren't copied when you move your website.

And do you see the modules in Extensions->Module manager ?

Yes it inside, and it all enabled, i try to play around with it by changing the position like right or top instead of left and save it but it still won't appear.

I have no idea. Could you try to uninstall those modules and then reinstall HikaShop ? That will reset the options of the modules , and it might make them appear...

Hi i think i have some clue, joomla Version 1.5.20 got no problem, but when i test it using latest Version 1.5.22, the module cannot be displayed on the web.

I have exactly the same problem, both modules are present in the extension = modules set to display in position left and are activated and affected to a special menu (page) and when I visit this menu, neither of Hikashop modules appears.

I also just noted that when I access the Hikashop view==module, there is no modules in the window (see below)

ya agree, but it does shows up on my localhost running joomla 1.5.20, i believe is the version problem

I'm running J 1.5.21 with the latest Hikashop (12/11/2010) on my dev environment, I have not tried it on any other Joomla version

If you don't mind running on a older version then try 1.5.20 it work, at least solve the problem temporary.

Thanks, but since I'm already running another cart program on my live site which is running 1.5.21 I prefer to wait for a fix.

I've been looking actively into this very interesting Hikashop package for about 2 weeks trying to tweek and have it running exactly as I want, I have some spare time to wait for a fix. Also, I'm not sur I will go live with Hikashop until the canadian tax fix is made available.

Hi,

I just upgraded our dev website to 1.5.22 and all our modules are still displayed correctly. I couldn't reproduce the problem.

On the right part of the cart module, you should have a link to hikashop options. If you click on it and then save the options, you should now have an entry for the cart module in the listing of content modules. Is that the case ?

Hi, this is running on joomla 1.5.20 and it working fine.

Notice there is the hikashop option you talking about and the Module Type = mod_hikashop_cart

This is running on joomla 1.5.22, without the hikashop option and the Module Type = Hikashop Cart Module.

Maybe you can try downloading a new 1.5.22 package on your localhost and install hikashop see if you face the problem?

So far the problem only occur to me when i use different version of joomla therefore i suggest what maybe the problem.

The problem is the type which should always be mod_hikashop_cart. It's a problem introduced in the latest version of HikaShop with the new install system. We are looking at fixing the problem and releasing a new version.

Create a new Hickashop Cart Module from your admin panel, save it, then edit it and enable it. That works.
