prospect's name in text input field

Hello,

I'm just starting a project on a webshop, where my client wants to sell one model of bag, and let the prospects type any name they want to be printed on the bag. What kind of version of Hikashop do you suggest for my purpose, and most of all, could you give me some guide lines to achieve this?
In what specific point of the e-shopping process I should insert the input text field, in order that it can be registered and viewed both in the fronted and backend order confirmation?

Hi,

You have two possibilities:
1. You can create a custom field of the table "order" via the menu Display->Custom fields. The field will appear during the checkout and attached to the order.
2. You can create a custom field of the table "item" via the menu Display->Custom fields. The field will appear on the product page and attached to the product in the cart (and later on to the product in the order).
In both cases, that is only possible with the Business edition. Also, in both cases, the information will be available in the emails and in the order details on the back end.

Bitcoin is not yet supported by HikaShop.
But I heard that the value of bitcoins had fallen recently. Did you know ?

If you are interested in it you can try to develop a payment plugin for it.
The documentation is available here ( bitcoin.org/en/development ) but you can ask to a 3rd party developer if you don't the necessary skills.
