For login and logout, this is handled by the joomla login module. So you should configure that in the joomla login module's options.
The account changes save is also handled by joomla but there is no such option.

ok for login and logout problem solved...for account changes, when i click save it redirects me to the home page of the site....there's no way to point to the cpanel?

On joomla 1.6, it seems that there is an option for that in the options of the user manager of the back end, but on joomla 1.5 it's not possible unless you modify the code of joomla directly.

It's the file components/com_user/controller.php in the function save.
