I need to make a few cosmetic changes to the shopping cart.
1)how can i edit the main title at the top the cart right now its says" Login or create a new account"
2) Do not sell any products on our site as per say just registration to our network. I'ld like to edit the cart which appears at the bottom of the registration page ( see screen shot to something along the lines of what we do, so instead of saying 'Quantity " it can say Number of months.Thanks for the help in advance

P.s is the google plugin release still slated for the end of this week?

1 and 2. You can edit any text in HikaShop by overriding your translation in the Languages tab of the configuration:

The release has been done this morning. The Google Checkout plugin is also available in that new release:

I made some changes to the langauge config and i got this message (see screen shot). Now i cant access my cart www.mybuzzpass.com/component/hikashop/checkout.html

Please make sure that this file exists and that you have the right to edit it. You can do that via FTP. You can set its permissions to 777 in order to be sure it can be written into.

For the 500 error, I can't say anything. That's a common error message which just mean that there was a problem while processing the page. We would have to see the php error log in order to see the real error message in order to be able to help you. I'm not even sure that both problems are related...

What details do i need to provide for you to see the php log to get more info on the error 500 message?

You need to provide the php error log file. It is generated automatically by php and updated when an error occurs. Where the file is located will be based on the way your hosting company setup their servers. If you don't know, you should ask them.

I think the best thing is to completely uninstall hikashop and reinstall . I tried using my backend but fully uninstalls. should i just delete the files via ftp and reload or there a more prudent mechanism you suggest?

After you uninstall HikaShop, the keep point is to delete all the hikashop tables of the database via phpmyadmin so that when you install it again, you will have the default options of the configuration and your data will be removed. You will have a pristine HikaShop to start with.

I tried reinstalling hikashop after i deleted the tbles from myphp but i still get the internal error 500 which wont bring up my shopping cart

Mmm. Without the error message, it's hard to say anything useful as it can come from nearly anything.
You said that the problem came after you changed the translation file. Is the translation file still changed ? Or is it back to its default state ? Did you change anything else ?

Could you still try to get the php error log file ?

That is not the PHP error log but your apache access log. It just tells that you have images on your website which actually don't exist but doesn't help.

If you look closely you'll see it a combination of both the error log and Apache code. The error is that the file does not exist.

No, this is only the apache log. The php error log does NOT contain any URLs. Here is a PHP error log for example:

I seem to have the issue , the new version (1.5.3) is not working. Can the google checkout plugin work with the earlier (1.5.2) version which is working just fine.

The 1.5.3 should be working just fine.
Maybe you downloaded one of the first build which had some issues with SEF. If you deactivate SEF, does it work ? If so, you should redownload the installation package from our website and try again.

The plugin should work with 1.5.2.

You are right the new version is working just fine. Have other users noticed other common errors i should look out for and how do i configure google checkout to work with my cart?
