Customers complaining there is no download link was created by RJay
I am finally got my web site up and running.

I am selling downloadable computer software.

When my customers get the confirmation email of payment received, They are reporting that the download link is not there.

The download link is there, its just that they can't find it on the confirmation email.

I couldn't find it the first time either.

The link should be the first thing the customer notices but there is nothing special to draw their attention to it.

How can I make the link a larger font and/or a different color or both.

The link is also crowded with other info hiding it. I need to change that too

You should override the corresponding translation string by editing your translation file via the interface in the Languages tab of the configuration. There, you can also have HTML so you can make the link bigger with inline CSS (note that you need to use single quotes in your translation strings).

Hi Nicolas,

While this explanation is probably accurate and clear for most members here, I am going to need a little more detail.

Which specific files should I be looking at to make the changes?

You need to do your changes in the translation file override, as explained there:

ok, my problem is that after the purchase does not show the link to download the file, does not appear in the mail that is sent to the buyer, I have to do to make this work

It's probably because you don't use the latest version of HikaShop. We've added a link to download the files in the email sent to the user in the latest version so you could just do that.

You have the latest stable version : 1.5.4
But I cant view tne download link

I know what is the problem, the link to download the file is not complet

That's not a link to a download file. That's the link to the order details page.

Did you edit the email before updating HikaShop ? That might explain why you don't have the new links for the files. In that case, you can go to System->Emails and delete the customization in order to get the new version of the email which has the links in it.

That's means that you're not using the Business edition and that you didn't edited the emails, so it's not that.

Could you do a screenshot of the email the customers receive when an order is confirmed on your website with products with downloadable files ?

That's the text version of the email. How come you don't receive the HTML version of the emails ?

But anyway, that email is the order creation email which is sent when the order is created. You should get another email when the order is confirmed (when the payment is done) and that's in this email where you should have the download links (in the HTML version);

The problem is for dont have the bussiness version, dont worry I buy the upgrade right now, but I think have any step wrong becouse I need to confirm manually the order
