How to check to see if logged in was created by mrdan
Is there a way to check to see if user is logged in? I want to display either login or logout in a custom menu. Thanks for your help.

In the joomla menu manager, when you edit a menu you can define what group can see it. So you will be able to display a menu or not based on whether the user is logged in or not.

Excellent. Is there also a way to see if logged in in a PHP function?

Yes. Again, that's not related to HikaShop but joomla:
