for some reason the next page menu (see attachment) has decided it would prefer to be read in German, how do I make it show English.

First time I see that.
It sounds like it might be because of your template. Could you try to switch your template to another to see if that solves the problem ?

Changed the template to rhuk_milkyway and it still was in German.

Then, it means that your website is actually displaying in german, but that the german language file of HikaShop is either not there or broken.

I think there it was a problem with joomfish, uninstalled it and now the page is back to English.
