Import products

Hello!
We have big tree of categories like this:
Category 1
- Sub category 1
- - Sub category 2
Category 2
- Sub category 1
- - Sub category 2
Sub categories have same names for each top level of categories.

Need add products in "sub category 2"
How we can paste this path of categories in CSV file?

Something like "Category 1 - Sub category 1 - Sub category 2"

Hi,

Usually, you can do like that:
product_code,categories
my_prod1,"category1;category2"

So you don't specify the parent categories as the system gets them automatically.
However, if several categories have the same name, you will have to use either the category id or the category namekey in your CSV. These are always unique so that way the system will be able to set them apart.

But maybe you have some another solution? Because we have more then 800 products and VERY big tree of categories.. and we don't want add all IDs of categories manualy in CSV.

You can use the namekeys of the categories then.
