Hi,

I don't know of any template built specifically for HikaShop. HikaShop is still only 3 months old so it's a bit soon for that I think.

I don't know of any free template built specifically for ecommerce. Maybe other users might know ? Anyone ?
You could also ask on the joomla forums. You might get more answers on that subject.

Hi,

I have built my own templates for Joomla Hikashop sites using Artisteer software ( www.artisteer.com ) - with this you can create pretty much whatever page size/column layouts you need very easily. I have not found any restrictions using HikaShop with the Artisteer templates so far.

here's a site that makes hikashop-based templates. but they're not for free :)

I really wish i could find a free one, I wanna use it on my e-commerce project at school :unsure: :unsure:

You can use normal joomla templates for HikaShop. You can also use free virtuemart templates with HikaShop. The only thing is that some of the features of the templates which are created specifically for virtuemart won't work, but the template itself is a normal joomla template which can be used with HikaShop.

It's really nice and sleek !
One thing I noticed is the tooltip (title) on the product images which kind of look off with the nice looking effect you have on the products.
As you already override the listing views in your template, you could just remove the title attribute of the link of the image to not have it anymore:
<a href="<?php echo $link;?>" title="<?php echo $this->escape($this->row->product_name); ?>">

I am using Mercato from RocketTheme and it's a painful process. Partially because I'm also running on J1.6 and there aren't all the plug-ins available for what I need, but the RT support is atrocious (totally unlike Hikashop's!)

Although I bought the Mercato template, I'm now considering changing.

Might be a good idea to maybe get in touch with Joomlart, gavick, rocketheme and others to see if they will add support for hikashop in one of their upcoming templates. I'm sure it will make more people aware of this great extension B)

As far as I know Joomlart is not planning to provide Hikashop templates as they wish to concentrate on VirtueMat ones. I would definitely welcome / pay for a good template tailored for Hikashop.

I guess you can use any template for Hikashop that suits your needs, even those for Virtuemart.

Actually I've seen a user here using Mynxx template from Rockettheme in theory Virtuemart based template and used for Hikashop.

Just look for e-commerce templates or online store templates.

The only thing I miss in many templates is the designers forgetting to put module positions for the minicart and the language flags at the top of the webpages.
