Shipping Method Drop Down

Hi..

I'm new in hikashop, but its very friendly interface, so i dont need so much time to learn about it. I dont have any hikashop plugin to my country delivery system, so i make manual shipping system, i make it manually for every city. I have about 100+ cities, so its not nice if the shipping method showing using radio button style at the check out page, so i want to use drop down style for my shipping method. can someone help me? Thanks

You can look at that thread, just replace county by city and the problem is the same :

That would display a city dropdown in the user address form and the correct shipping method would then be selected automatically by the system.

It means i must change the tax system to the shipping system using the same method?

You can leave the tax system alone.

What you need to do is to configure your zones differently as explained in that previous link so that the states that you want to use become countries (and unpublish all the existing countries) and you create county zones as states and added these county zones as sub zones of your states via the menu System->Zones.
Then, in the menu Display->Custom fields, you can edit your country and state fields to change their name.
That way your customers will be able to choose their state/county on the checkout address form instead of selecting their state/country (you assume that they are all in your country).
Then, in your shipping methods, you can use the county zones. That way, on your checkout, you will only see the shipping methods corresponding to your address.

I already unpublish all country. Make my state (x) as a new countries. Make new states (Y) and add subzones countries that i already make before (y). I already make a shipping method to country and set my new country (y) prices and everything. But when i want to check out its still said "No shipping methods available to your location", can u tell me what is my mistakes now? Thanks a lot.

Could you give a link to your website and screenshots of your shipping methods configuration so that we can see what is the problem ?

You didn't set any weight in your products (so they were considered as virtual goods) and you had the option "Force shipping regardless of weight" turned off in the configuration.
I've turned it on for you and it's working.

Thanks a lot nicholas. I already try to put weight to my products, but when i want to check out its still showing "No shipping methods available to your location", its still not working, what i must setting again?

It was working yesterday when I tried.
That error means that no shipping methods were found for the address you set for your user. So you should check your user address and the zone restriction of your shipping methods.

I make shipping method for every state, so when they choose the state the shipping method will apply, but when i try to choose the state, still no shipping method is appear. Or i forget some settings?

I tried again on your website and I don't have that error message.
Regardless of which state/country I choose in my address, I always see the shipping method.
Please give us a way to reproduce the problem on your website.

Thanks a lot man, its working great, but why its showing another shipping method, i already put an address and choose the state, but when i want to make payment its showing another state payment method also. I want just the state i choose is appear as shipping method on payment page. Thanks..

That's because in your "bandung" shipping method's options, you didn't select the correct zone.
