Thanks for purchase

If a customer bought something, paypal returns to the webshop with the message :thanks for purchase.
This is on a blank page.
If I redirect the return to a choosen page the message does not show up.

Can I set paypal return to a fixed page AND display the thanks for purchase message?

Why not simply add the thank you message manually to the page where the user is redirected (the one you configured in the return URL option of the paypal plugin)?
