Help: Product Category Menu is making me dizzy...

My product category menu is acting odd. It should be Hardware - Door - Backplates (although it is having submenu issues of course.) Instead, both Door and Backplate show up TWICE. Both as their own listing as well as under Hardware. We've been going in circles on this.

And here is an image (in case our tinkering changes it). (There may be more than one menu due to experimenting. But the issue is the categories showing multiple times in ONE menu.)


Is there a Hikashop for Dummies out anywhere? I'm not finding the documentation very clear at all... :S
