Create a maximum payment/transaction limit

Create a maximum payment/transaction limit was created by PhilP
Hi,
We have a maximum single card transaction limit of £5000.00 imposed by Worldpay.
However, there does not seem to be any option to specify a limit within the Worldpay payment plugin we are using so the transaction fails after the handover to Worldpay has already taken place. The Worldpay gateway is not very helpful on this point and just says that a route cannot be found. That will certainly confuse our customers and generate support calls.
I have tried using a payment limit in the shipping plugin instead but the limit only applies to the value of the goods, not to the value of the total transaction and it starts to get a bit messy. Also, where the transaction limit is exceeded, the option for selecting shipping correctly does not appear but the payment option still does appear. This will be very confusing to the customers.
Advice and help appreciated.
Regards

Indeed we didn't thought of that one.
You should add the line below in the onPaymentDisplay function of the plugin file:
if($order->order_full_price>=5000) return false;

Hi I'm Setting up a new Hikashop in Joomla and need to use Worldpay for Payment Gatway. Can you recommend a plug in (joomla 2.5) to set this up or is this built in?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi,
It is built in. You can simply configure it via the menu System->Payment methods.

Hi,
As Nicolas says below, the Worldpay plugin comes with Hikashop.
We have it on our website and it works pretty well ( www.bmarq.co.uk )
I think we have some minor configuration issues to resolve around notification of order creation and confirmation but those I think (I hope) are specific to us. We always receive a notification from Worldpay when a transaction has taken place and it is properly recorded when we go into the Hikashop back-end to do the fulfilment.
However, the one thing I do find rather frustrating is that there does not appear to be a 'hand-back' to our webpage when the purchaser is finished with the Worldpay transaction i.e. there does not appear to be a 'continue shopping' option. Once the hand-over to the Worldpay page has taken place, that is pretty much it and the shopper must come back to our site in the normal way. I think I asked about this via this forum (it was some time ago now) but there did not seem to be an answer to that problem.
It has not stopped us using Hikashop and Worldpay though and we are pretty satisfied with the results.
Good Luck!

Hi thanks for the reply - Can you tell me if the fee for Hika Essential is a one off payment and is it an easy upgrade/transfer process from the starter version?

Hi,
Yes HikaShop Essential is a one off payment, and to upgrade you just have to install it over the other one via the Joomla extension manager.
You will not lose data, even if you don't have edited the views via HikaShop > Display > Views.
Don't forget to make a backup before the uprade.
