Related Products URL was created by Techie1000
Hi,
I have two categories which i wanted different layouts for on the product page. I achieved this by using a Page Class Suffix in the Joomla menu options - so far so good.
On each of the product pages i have a module at the bottom to display related products. This shows items from both categories.
Due to the way that the URL for the related item is created it contains the original product item category. This means that the Page Class Suffix is also used. Is there a way to change this so that it uses the category of the item the URL points to?
URL created is: www.occasionalsilver.co.uk/ category1/14-1oz-suisse-gold-silver-bullion-bar-personalised
URL wanted is: www.occasionalsilver.co.uk/ category2/14-1oz-suisse-gold-silver-bullion-bar-personalised
Hope that sort of makes sense.

Hi,
There is no option to do that.
You would have to edit the file "listing_img_title" (if that's the item box layout you're using for your related module) of the view "product" via the menu Display->Views in order to change the Itemid parameter of the URL to one or the other menu dynamically.
