Help! UPS showing ridiculously high shipping rates

When i get to choose shipping in checkout process all of the shipping rates are $300+ for a single package that weighs 30lbs! When i test my account shipping rates on the UPS site they come back with the right prices (starting at $12 and up). I have no zones set and when im filling out my address info in checkout, my address is only 4miles away from the warehouse.
Is there something i'm missing or what? What API do i need to implement from UPS? or do i need one?

Could you give more information so that we can look at that ? Because the rates on our end are quite normal.

What is the characteristics of the products in your cart ?
How did you configure your UPS plugin options ?

The product I've been using to test is a PB-550 unit, its $989.00, weighs ~30lbs, & packaged in a 18"x20"x34" box. Evertime i go to purchase it, UPS comes back with crazy rates. go to cdclarue.com/newsite then navigate to -> buy online -> vacuum equipment -> vacs by series -> 500 series-> PB550. then add to cart then go to checkout. do you get the same rates?
