Import 140 products and images was created by blmcquillan
Hi,
I have read through the documentation and a couple of posts just needed to double check this is correct.
Fresh Joomla install, fresh Hika install.
To upload 140 products and images I have put 140 images in hikashop/upload,
and then create a CSV file in excel.
First line is product_name, images
First column lists all of the product names e.g. Blue Harvest
Second column lists all of the images e.g. Blue Harvest.jpg
Is this correct?
I seem to be getting errors and it will not upload

I have gotten it to work
The only issue now is the product categories and descriptions
They all just get put into "Product category" in hikashop
Is there a column I can add to put them all into a category?
product_category did not work
And a column for descriptions?
Will product_description work, and would it also read html code for a link in the description?
(e.g. a Contact us for Prices line in the description having a link to the contact page)

There is no product_category column. The list of possible columns should be displayed with you import a CSV with unknown column names.
There is no column to enter the description of categories via CSV. It's not handled for now.
You can enter HTML in the product_description column, yes.

Hi
So there is no easy way to separate items into categories other than one by one?
Say a photography site with photos by years, 2010, 2011, 2012
Will I have to just go into each photo individually and set it to a category?

No, you CAN enter the categories of the products in the CSV with the "categories" column.
Just read the documentation on the import, it's all explained there:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...hikashop-import.html
However, what you can't do is add/update the description of the categories via the CSV.
