disable order status emails

i'm using the free version of hikashop and i wanted to know if there is a way to disable the order status emails from being sent to users?

Which ones ? The ones sent after the payment has been confirmed or the ones sent when the order is created ?

You can go to the menu System->Emails and edit the order creation email. There you can add the code:

$data->customer->user_email = '';

That will skip the email sending process.
Please note that the edition of emails is only available in the Business edition of HikaShop.
