Limit Store to One State

I am wondering how to limit my store to only people living in Minnesota, USA. The reason why I want to do this is because we only ship to locations within the state of Minnesota. I figured the only way to do this was to change the zone on the payment method to Minnesota, but when I did this and went to the checkout it says No payment methods found -- even though I am in Minnesota. Please help.

If your reason is that you only ship to locations within the state of Minnesota, you should add a zone for the shipping method instead of the payment method. Because someone who don't live in the state of Minnesota can also buy your product and ship it to the state of Minnesota, so you should :

- change your shipping method zone
- don't use any zone limitation for the payement method
- and tell your costumer through the product description for exemple that you can just ship product to the state of Minnesota.

If you don't get the payment/shipping methods because you set a zone restriction, and that you still want them before the user enters his address, you can change the "main tax zone" option of the configuration to your zone. Then, after you clear your session on your front end, you'll see the payment/shipping methods restricted to minnesota before entering the address.
