Looking for Search Strings to locate products?

Hello,

Can you help me locate search strings for retrieving products from the database.

ie. Locates products in Hikashop --> index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=product&layout=listing

Im sarching for the string that locates [products] that [name] = [xxx]

something like --> index.php/component/hikashop/?task=search&field_name=[xxx]

Also I would like to know any others that might be available.

Pherhaps:

locates [products] that [name] contains [xxx]
locates [products] that [price] is between [xxx] and [xxx]

Thanks very much

Hi,

There is not such function on the HikaShop front end.
What you can do however is use our search integration plugins with the joomla search module so that when someone use it on your website, it will return a list of products with the search string in the name or the description. You can have to publish the hikashop products search plugin via the joomla plugin manager and then publish the joomla search module if that's not already the case.

Thanks,
I published the hika plugin, and
published the search module but I'm not picking up any products.

J1.6
IE8

What I'm hoping to do is create a link from a text file or email that links to all entries that =/or/contain a [term]

Is this possible?

Thanks
DM

For example, you can do this:

www.demo.hikashop.com/index.php?searchwo...n=com_search&lang=en

That will display a listing of all the products with the word doll in the name or the description in our demo website (there is one product).

Just publishing the hikashop products search plugin should be enough.
