Adding Images to a Product: browse the server? was created by Kaisa
Hello,
I'd like to add an image to a product, via the "Images" section of the Product page. When I click the "Browse" button, however, I only get to browse my local drive, not the server. How would I access the files already on the server?

Hi,
This is not possible in HikaShop. If you want to add images stored on your server to a product, you will have first to download them on your computer in order to add them to the product.

Any plans to implement this in the future? It seems a bit rough.

Sure, why not... We don't have any grudge against any feature request
This one just isn't our priority right now. Why ?
1/ Because it's a feature which is going to take us some time to develop unless we find an easy way to integrate with the built-in image selection interface of joomla.
2/ The work around is really simple for the user.
3/ There are a lot of other features which were requested by other users and that are easier to implement at the moment.
That doesn't mean we won't do it. But it's more of a long term feature at the moment, unless a lot of people request it. So far, you are the first one mentioning it.
