Breadcrumbs does not work

Hi everyone!

I know, that this topic was solved few times, but i can't solve it in my website.

- Simplified breadcrumbs is OFF (attachment)
- Caching is OFF (attachment)
- Breadcrumbs are ON for all modules/menus (attachment)


My problem:

In breadcrumbs, i don't see categories, it shows only first category and product - without subcategories.


About versions:

Joomla! 1.5.20

I know, that you don't understand Polish language, so if you want, you can check these path: First category ---> third category ---> first category -> there we have 1 product

I don't see the category_pathway parameter in your URLs. That's what helps the breadcrumb system to display all the path of categories.

Toggling the simplified breadcrumb option is what can add/remove that category_pathway parameter from the URLs.

It sounds that the SEF system of Joomla is not taking that option into account and so it sounds like a caching issue on the SEF URLs. I guess that if you turn off the SEF on your website that should enable you to see the category_pathway parameter in the URLs and thus display the breadcrumbs like you want. Can you confirm ?

Unfortunately, I disabled SEF in Joomla and problem is still the same. (I was trying with simplified breadcrumbs and without).

Where can I turn ON showing category_pathway ? - Or maybe I misunderstood you?

I can now see the category_pathway:

The breadcrumb is still not displaying the correct menus though. I would say that it's a caching issue.
Please check that the cache plugin of joomla is turned off and that the caching option of the breadcrumb module is also turned off and that you don't have anything in the cached elements (menu System->Purge cache of Joomla).

Cache plugin is turned OFF, I also cleaned cache (there was 4 files). In breadcrumb module also cache is turned OFF (in joomla system turned OFF too).

And breadcrumbs still don't work.

Maybe problem is in my quite old Joomla version? I have 1.5.20

No I don't think that it comes from your version of Joomla.
However, you should consider updating as your version of Joomla is not secure anymore.
