Create Discount based on different variables

I'm trying to figure out if HikaShop has the feature of creating different discounts for different size orders.

Here is the scenerio:
I'm setting up a 'chinese auction' website, you can buy tickets for the drawing in different categories (Jackpot, Grand Prize, Split the Pot etc..) If a user buys a total of $500 he gets an extra $200 value in tickets. If he buys over $1000 He gets an extra $500 in tickets and so on.

Is this possible or does anyone have any solutions or ideas?

Yes, it's possible of doing that with the commercial versions of HikaShop. You will get additional options to restrict the use of coupons based on several variables including the total of the order and an "auto load in cart" option which will enable you to achieve what you want to do:
