Using Filters as Links was created by foxy3433
What code would i use to create filtered link: Scenario
You have a menu technology, under technology you have general tv's, video's etc
I need to create a link that would filter the brands of the categories the products are connected to... so i.e if you was in TV's and you searched Sony you would get all Sony TV's NOT all SONY products currently on the site.
Is this possible?????

Hi,
It is possible.
Filters use query parameters. I mean that, when you send a filter, your filter option is passed to the server by "POST".
Our demo website have a filter example at the bottom of the main page. You can see two filters.
For example the filter named "NP". His form name is "filter_NP[]" and could have vaules "yes" or "no".
So, you can create a link with the filter specifyed into. Like this:
demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...69&lang=en&filter_NP []=no
Regards,
