product insert _ view

Hi, I'm trying to change the order the elements are displayed by the content plugin.
the only way I see how to do it is to edit:
/administrator/components/com_hikashop/extensions/plg_system_hikashopproductinsert/hikashopproductinsert_view.php

would there be a better way to "override" this plugin view without editing the core file?

Actually I thought that this would work but even when I update the hikashopproductinsert_view.php file, nothing changes in the front end?!?

I have no idea where to go to change the order of the elements (<span class="hikashop_product_price_full">, <span class="hikashop_product_name">....).

The folder administrator/components/com_hikashop/extensions is were the plugins are stored int he installation package. The plugins files are then copied to the joomla plugins folders during the installation process and not use anymore.
So you should instead edit the file plugins/system/hikashopproductinsert/hikashopproductinsert_view.php on your website.

Note that there IS an override system for that file. You should copy it in the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/system/ and edit it there. That will override the plugin view file automatically.
