Extra discount on downloadable products?

Hi,

We run an organizational site where we sell books and reports through HikaShop.

If you're a member of the organization, you get a membership discount of 50% (no problem) on physical products.

However, you also have the option to download the report/book. In that case the discount should be 100%
(physical/downloadable is set up as “variants” under “Characteristics”)

Any advice on how to set this up?

Hi,

Discounts can only be applied to products not variants so you can't use them in your case.
Instead, you should have:
no prices for the main product
one normal price for the physical variant for the access level of non members
one 50% price for the physical variant for the access level of members
one normal price for the downloadable variant for the access level of non members
You can configure the variants prices via the "manage variants" button on your products edition page.

Thanks for the info.
