How to install a 3rd party payment plugin?

I have a 3rd party payment plugin. I have searched the documentation and the forum but I must not be using the right search terms. I can't find directions for installing a new payment plugin.

It is the same as any joomla extension. Go in the joomla installer, select your plugin file and click on install
