Remove the index.php

Hi,i want to remove the index.php from the url,for products,or from the categories.Is this possible,and how can i do it?

Hello nicolas,i've tried all this but its not working.It seems that the product items,inherits the index.php on the url,from the index.php page.
When i made the changes the products didn't appear because they were missing the index.php prefix on the url.
Never worked before with hikashop,and the site its not developed by me.
It must be a settings problem.Any ideas to solve it?

It's not a problem in HikaShop.
It entirely something handled by Joomla.
Normally, you just have to activate the option and rename the htaccess file like explained in that documentation and it works.
Maybe you have a special server configuration which requires additional changes to joomla or the htaccess but I'm not a specialist in that domain so I would recommend to seek advice on that issue on forum.joomla.org where you will find specialists on the subject.
