Characteristics not showing on product page

My product characteristics aren't showing on the product pages - I'm assuming I need to edit the Display to make this work. Help please Here is one of the product pages where I have added size characteristics but it doesn't display:

There is nothing to edit. The characteristics will display automatically on the product page once you add them to your products.
If that's not the case, either you didn't add them, or you removed the code of the view to display them.

Thanks Nicolas - I believe I removed the code as I edited one of the back-end files a few weeks ago to make the product info display beside its image. What is the code for characteristics?

I don't know what you edited and how. So I can't tell you what to add back.
On the Views listing, you can search for the views you edited and click on the "delete customization" icon to revert your changes and use again the default view file.

Well I used the 'Remove customisation" tool, it hasn't put the characteristics back - in fact it hasn't changed anything, even when I cleared my Joomla cache.

Can you do a screenshot of the product edition page ?
And try to rename the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATES/html/com_hikashop in order to deactivate all the overrides at once.

Hi Nicolas - I did change the template so I guess that's why the changes didn't take place.
If I copy the com_hikashop folder from my old template to my new template (location: /templates/template_name/html/com_hikashop), will that work?

I see the "no values found" error for your characteristics.
So it sounds like the characteristics that you added to your product don't have any value.

Looking at their name, I can see that you didn't understand how characteristics worked.
You need to create only one "size" characteristic with the values L,M an S and add that size characteristic to your product. then it will display fine.

Fixed it - you are right, my own silly mistake!
