Coupon function...

Hi
Is there a way to have the shop add a product automaticly at checkout if the customer enters a code for a certain product?
I don't want the product in the shops inventory itself but as a sort of incentive to buy something in a newsmail.
Or do I have to make a special invisible page that they enter on, add the product and then continue out in the real shop for more inventory?

Coupon codes cannot be used to add products to the cart. That would require the creation of a custom plugin by a developer.

You can create a product and assign it to an unpublished category. That way it won't display on your product listings but if you give the direct link to the product page your users will be able to add it tot he cart and you can even give them the add to cart html link to add it to the cart automatically when they click on the link.
