Hello.

how or where can I change the number of products shown on a sub category page.

I would like to limit it to six,ine max and then have another page showing the next six or nine image missing http://www.hikashop.com/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/Picture_4-20110218.png

Hi,

You need to go in the menu Display->Content modules. There, edit the module associated to your menu and you will find the option "number of items" that you can use to limit the number of products per pages. You might have to turn off the option "random" so that the pagination is displayed.

thanks Nicolas, it was the "random" option that was the problem.

Can you tell me how I can put a space between "StartPrev12NextEnd" so it looks like this.....

Start Prev 1 2 Next End

Well, the pagination style should be handled by your template CSS.

You can try adding the CSS below bu it might not work because of your template:
.list-footer span{
margin-right: 5px;
margin-left: 5px;
}

If it doesn't work, please give us the URL of that page so that we can look at it.

I also need to know how to turn of the drop down list for the number of items per page(see attachment). It wasn't there a couple of days ago, but it is now.

You also need that CSS:

.list-footer a{
margin-right: 5px;
margin-left: 5px;
}

For the Display dropdown, you can use the CSS:
.limit{ display: none; }

Is there a way to set a default "number of items" on product/category listings, rather than set in each individual module/menu?

Just to add a bit more detail, I've recently upgraded from 1.5.4 to 2.1.3, running Joomla 2.5.8. In Hika 1.5.4 I had the "number of items" set as "Y" and it displayed all the products in a category. Now it just displays 1,

In the menus/modules options, you can now leave the option empty and the system will automatically use the number of items option of the Display tab of the configuration so that you only have to change it once when you need to change it.
You should not have Y but an integer in that field.
