Limit max q. per order with different Characterist

Hi!

It is possible to limit the maximum quantity of one product per order. But if I use charecteristics for a product, I can add different variants of this product to the cart. Is it possible to limit it to only one variant of a product?

You can click on the "manage variants" button when you're on the edition page of your product in order to access the listing of variants of the product. For each variant, you can set a max quantity per order.

We use the variants to offer different long licenses of a product. Therefore it should be possible to order only ONE variant of a product. How is this possible?

There is not such options.

So that's only possible with a custom plugin, that checks the cart during checkout?

Yes. You could just edit the cart file of the view checkout and add your products/variants checking code there.
