CATALOG MODE DOESNT WORK

I have activated the catalog function, but unfortunately, I haven't noticed any changes. The items still display prices, and even for those items where I haven't listed any price, the image of "free" appears. I intend for my page to serve solely as catalog, do not requiere prices to be displayed or any cart functionality. How do I solve this?

Turning on the catalog mode won't change anything for the display of the prices.

What it will change is that it will remove the add to cart buttons and prevent the users from using the checkout of your HikaShop.

If you want to remove the prices from listings and the product details pages, what you can do is to edit the view file product / listing_price.php via the menu Display>Views and add at the beginning this:
