Report of top selling products by characteristic

We are looking to create a report that indicates the top selling products in 2015 organized by the color/size options (which we have entered in as characteristics). In short, we want to know which colors and sizes are the most popular. I am unable to figure out a way of doing this with the Reporting or Mass Action capabilities built into HikaShop. How would be go about accomplishing this? Thank you.

As far as I can see, neither the mass actions nor the reports will allow you to output such statistics.
The solution I can see is to do a normal export of your products as a CSV, open it in Excel, and with some excel magic, use the product_sales column and the characteristic columns of the CSV in order to generate the report you need.

Thought that might be the case. Thank you for confirming. Time to pull out some mad spreadsheet skills! Hopefully, some time in the future, there will be an ability built in to sort/export by characteristic...
