Make/Model/Year Filter Help

Hi
Can some help me by telling me how to setup Make/Model/Year filter for my products. I need Model dependent on Make and year is dependent on Model. Below is example of the setup I need.

- Make
- - Model
- - - year
- Holden
- - Curse
- - - 2014
- - - 2015
- - Trax
- - - 2014
- - - 2015
- Ford
- - Focus
- - - 2014
- - - 2015
- - Falcon
- - - 2014
- - - 2015

You'll want to create 3 custom fields of the table "product" via the menu Display>Custom fields with all the possible values for each field:

Then, in each product select the appropriate value in each field.
Then, create one filter for each custom field with the "auto submit" and "dynamic display" options turned on :

That will allow you to have such Maker/Model/Year filter system. Note that this will require the Business edition of HikaShop.

As I have not purchased yet and I tried on the demo site. This is now exactly what we are looking for.The way we want it to work a cascading filter that will only show the Make after the model is selected and then only show year after the model is selected.

Is this possible to do?

The solution given by Nicolas allow to have only the available models in the dropdown based on the "Make" information filled, only available years in the dropdown once the model has been selected but the three filters will be always displayed.

By default there is not option to hide/show a filter based on the value of another one, but that can potentially be done thanks to some javascript.

So it require javascript knowledges.
