Search by variant in text filter

Hey

Is it possible to search by variant names in a text filter?

Example :

My product name is 'Ashbourne Galvanised 7 Rail Metal Field Gate' and it has variants such as '0.915m S/bolt '

Can I search for '0.915m S/bolt' ? At the moment it's not finding anything.

Hi,

There is no way to configure a text filter to search on the variants of the products of a listing, the same way as you can't enter the name of a category in a text filter to get a list of the products of categories with that text in their name.
You could potentially create additional dropdown filters on the characteristics.
Or you could instead use the Joomla search module which allows you to get a text filter to search products and variants.
