Discount on first purchase

Is there any way to set up discount for the first order for the customer who had registered to my e-shop?

The solution will be create a new coupon and set the :
- "Quota per user" option to 1
- "Auto load in cart if possible" option to YES

Then your new customer will automatically have their discount through their first order.
Note that these options are only available through the commercial versions of Hikashop.

Hi!, I need to do this too. But if I create a coupon with a quota of 1 and auto-apply it, this means that all of my existing customers will automatically get the discount doesn't it?

What I need is for this to only apply to new users from a point in time onwards and not retrospectively. Is there a way to achieve this?

This will require a plugin based on the function "onBeforeCouponLoad(&$coupon,&$do)".
In this function, you will have to check if the customer already have confirmed orders, if it is, so set $do to false.

Thanks Xavier. I also found another way - which is to set up a new registration group for all "new" customers who would be eligible for the discount from the time that we start the offer and then restrict the automatic application of the discount to this new group.

Via the menu Orders > Discounts, then create a new discount and select the "coupon" type.

Hi,

No, the quota per user option is only for coupons. Discounts are directly applied to the products prices before any check can be done. That's why Xavier recommended to change the type of your discount to "coupon".
Note that if you turn on the "auto load" option of a coupon, it will be added automatically during the checkout, acting as a discount on the global cart and the customers won't have to manually enter the coupon code.
